After Your Screening

Thank you for investing in your health by participating in our Breathe Ease Lung Screening.

It is so important to be proactive with your healthcare. Early detection of disease creates the opportunity to pursue treatments that are more effective, have a lower cost, and most importantly - are less disruptive to you and your family.

In the two weeks following your screening, here’s what you can expect:

• Your screening will be read and interpreted by the team of radiologists at X-Ray Associates of New Mexico (XRANM).

• The findings will be interpreted by the physicians at the Health Specialists of New Mexico/New Mexico Cancer Center to determine next steps.

• The clinical team will contact you with results, discuss any findings, and advise on next steps. Because of the nature of the screening, it is common for evidence of coronary artery disease, changes in liver, kidneys and other anomalies to be revealed. Our team will discuss these findings as well.

• For positive findings, a follow-up letter will be sent to the address you provided.

• Finally, we will send all images to your Primary Care Provider, pulmonologist, or both for your medical record and further discussion.
